ABOUT THE REPORT

1. RECORD INCORPORATIONS
MCA recorded the highest number of company and LLP incorporations in 2023-24, surpassing all previous financial years.
2. EASE OF DOING BUSINESS
The Ministry has undertaken specific initiatives to strengthen Ease of Doing Business, including further decriminalization of offences under the Companies Act and Jan Vishwas reforms.
3. MCA21 PORTAL UPGRADES
Significant improvements in portal performance and PDF generation speed. New company forms launched on the V3 MCA21 portal, including MSME, BEN-2, MGT-6, and IEPF forms.
4. CENTRAL PROCESSING CENTRE (CPC)
CPC disposed of 22,857 e-forms in Apr–Jun 2024, up from 21,704 in the same period of the previous year, reflecting improved processing efficiency.
5. ACTS ADMINISTERED
The Ministry administers key legislation including:
- Companies Act, 2013
- Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Act, 2008
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016
6. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE INITIATIVES
Special focus on improving the corporate governance environment through policy reforms, compliance streamlining, and digital transformation of filings.
